As a nod to Global Youth Services Day, the Patesi Foundation invites girls ages 8–13 to participate in Sister Moon—a unique experience where girls learn about their bodies, menstrual health and menstrual poverty while giving back to others. Participants will also serve as young volunteers, assembling emergency period kits for girls in the foster care system, helping to ensure that no girl feels unprepared or alone.
Activities:
*Learn about menstrual health and menstrual poverty in a safe, age-appropriate way
*Build confidence and self-awareness
*Create and package emergency period kits for young girls in need
*Participate in a kindness-centered, hands-on service project
Volunteer Impact:
Participants will be making a direct and meaningful difference in the lives of other young girls.
Parent Note: This experience is thoughtfully designed to be supportive, educational, and age-appropriate, led by caring adults in a safe and affirming environment. SSL hours provided.
Learn. Grow. Give back.
