Description
Support individuals with autism and their families through meaningful volunteer engagement. Volunteers will provide virtual mentoring to children, youth, and adults with autism, helping build social, communication, and life skills. In addition, volunteers will support families through respite assistance and help with essential tasks such as grocery shopping and errands. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are compassionate, patient, and interested in making a direct impact in culturally diverse communities. Training and ongoing support will be provided.
Qualifications
- Age 18+ (or supervised if under 18)
- Background check required
- Completion of required trainings (CPR)
- Experience or interest in autism and developmental disabilities preferred
- Bilingual (Amharic/Tigrinya) a plus
