Notice 6/16/2026: Bagged lunch distribution will be briefly paused while we secure a new site. 

Notice: Students can earn 5 SSL hours for making 60 or more bagged lunches fitting the criteria listed below.


The Interfaith Works Homeless Services Department provides weekly outreach to individuals living in encampments throughout Prince George’s County. Each Thursday, social workers, peer support specialists, and other Interfaith Works staff visit designated sites to connect with residents and assess their needs on the path to housing. Donations may be dropped off at the Administrative Office. For more information, contact the Faith & Community Partnership team at FaithCommunityPartnerships@iworksmc.org or 3017628682 ext. 252.

Number of clients to be served: 60 - 80

Lunches should contain the following:     

  • Water
  • Fruit
  • Chips
  • Dessert (cookies)
  • 1 - 2 Separately bagged Sandwiches (tuna salad, chicken salad, ham & cheese w/ condiments or peanut butter & Jelly)
  • Juice or drink add-ins

Drop-Off Location: 981 Rollins Ave., 2nd Floor, Rockville, MD

Drop-Off Days: Wednesdays between 10am - 4pm or Thursdays at 9am  

Students can earn 5 SSL hours for making 60 or more bagged lunches fitting the criteria listed above.  When dropping off meals, please label the containers/bags with the ingredients so our team can share the information with individuals with dietary restrictions.

Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety and privacy at any time the student is interacting with the nonprofit and its clients. The nonprofit organization will determine the number of SSL hours awarded based on the evidence submitted. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns. This service activity is designed to be completed within the safety of the student’s home.
