We are seeking volunteers to help us facilitate ALL THINGS MARYLAND CELEBRATION on Saturday, June 27, 2026 - an afternoon of celebrating everything that makes Maryland special. The event starting at 3:00pm with set-up beginning at 1:30pm, follows the matinee of Please Underestimate Me, a hilarious and heartfelt world-premiere solo show featuring beloved chef and television personality Carla Hall. As the State Summer Theater of Maryland, the Olney Theatre Center is bringing the community together for a festive afternoon celebrating local flavor, culture, and pride. You will be helping us:
- Set-up the space.
- Welcome our vendors and performers to campus.
- Clean up and "strike" the space at the end of the day.
The event will mostly be held outdoors in our Bernard Courtyard. The event will be held indoors in case of inclement weather.

Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
