Volunteers will work with highly-qualified teaching artists in a variety of disciplines while earning (SSL) hours and valuable experience. Summer camps run June 21 through August 18, in one-week sessions. Volunteers work from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and need to be available for the entire week of each camp they assist.Afternoon positions 2:30-5:30 are be available. Assignments (additional jobs may be given based on camp session/need) include:
- Supervise campers and their safety;
- Assist Camp Coordinator & Camp Manager;
- Manage the sign-in/sign-out table;
- Oversee lunch/recess and cleanup;
- Answer questions of campers and parents;
- Be a Camper Buddy (work with a camper one-on-one);
- Set up for all end-of-camp gallery exhibits & receptions
Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age. There is a mandatory training on June 15th from 10:00am to 1:00pm.
