The perfect service Opportunity for High School Students (particularly Juniors and Seniors) interested in being teachers! Make a Difference in the Life of a Young Child. Work up to four hours a day alongside our teachers to facilitate our students' learning process, Infant to Pre-k. Volunteers get right in action, help with art projects, engage in free play, and join in outdoor activities on neighborhood walks and at the playground. Inspire confidence and trust, serve as a role model, and make lasting positive impressions on our community's youngest members. This is a physically demanding job, requiring the volunteer to participate in physical activities, including standing for long periods of time, taking long walks, running, and lifting up to 25 pounds on occasion. Prior experience working with young children, including babysitting, summer camp counselor, tutoring, or mommy's helper, a plus.
