Spanish-Speaking Hospice Volunteers

Volunteers play an important role as part of JSSA Hospice?s interdisciplinary team by observing and listening to patients for signs of physical and emotional changes that the nursing or social work staff should note. They provide vigil care in the last days and hours of life by sitting with patients to ensure they are never alone. Volunteers bring comfort, respite, and companionship at a time when compassionate support is critically needed. We are looking for Spanish-speaking volunteers, and look forward to hearing from you. 20-hour training required. All JSSA volunteers must complete an interview, background check, and reference check.
