Responsible teens, grades 7th-12th, and adults are needed to help staff our summer VBS camp, which is free and open to children, pre-K through 5th grade, from the surrounding community. The camp is held annually the last week of July, and volunteers are needed for set-up and clean-up the weekend before and after camp, and also to assist adult leaders with camp activities (crafts, storytelling, science, recreation, music, and snacks) during the week. Volunteers are expected to commit to volunteering between the hours of 8:30 am and 12:30 pm each day for the M-F camp week, and also are encouraged to volunteer during the Thursday night parent program.
Volunteers are required to attend an orientation session on the Thursday evening prior to the start of camp, and volunteers over 18 years old must consent to background screening in order to comply with the United Methodist Church's Safe Sanctuary policy. \
