Then & Wow! is the Glen Echo Park Partnership's annual family festival celebrating the Park's revitalization as an arts center and recalling its history, when the site was an amusement park. The event features kiddie rides and arcade games, and other activities. Committed, friendly volunteers are needed to help make the day spectacular!
The event is scheduled Sunday, September 30th from 11am to 4pm. The volunteer shifts available for SSL hours are: 9am to 2pm, 12pm to 5pm and 9am to 5pm. The earlier shift would involve event set-up with the Glen Echo staff and the second shift would include break-down of the event. A third option is to help for the entire duration of the event; a longer lunch break would be provided with this longer shift.
Responsibilities could include: taking tickets from patrons, taking photos at the Vintage Photo Station, and helping to make the families have fun at the Park!
