On Thursday, November 16, 2017, Montgomery County and the City of Gaithersburg will be hosting Homeless Resource Day at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park (506 South Frederick Ave., Gaithersburg, Maryland 20877). They are still seeking volunteers to assist with the event that will run from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Homeless Resource Day is a "one day, one stop" opportunity for individuals and families experiencing homelessness or at risk of being homeless to access benefits and services in the County. Among the services planned during this event are housing assistance, health care education and information, legal consultation, free credit reports and counseling, haircuts, information about Veterans Administration benefits, Social Security benefits and identification from the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration.
