RSVP today to join our volunteer session on the following dates: 

Friday, November 10th (Veteran's Day observed- PG County schools are closed; Montgomery County schools have early release), 10:00-1:00 pm 

Saturday, November 11th, 10:00-1:00 pm 

Saturday, December 2nd, 10:00-1:00 pm 

We love our volunteers- returning and new! RSVP your spot and invite a friend to join!

As always, our sessions will include pizza and soda.

These sessions are open to anyone ages middle school and up. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult (unless previously approved). All sessions qualify for SSL hours. 
 
THIS IS A CLOSED VOLUNTEER EVENT. YOU MUST RSVP AHEAD OF TIME- NO WALK-INS ACCEPTED. 

ACCO VOLUNTEERS: As with all volunteer events, we expect our helpers to pay close attention to detail and follow procedures/orders of tasks as given by ACCO staff. This will ensure a safe and efficient time in our office. We are so grateful for you and couldn’t be as successful without you!

Below are some of the tasks that will take place at a given volunteer session this fall. The description of activities is subject to change based on the need and availability of our wonderful volunteers.

Creating Gold Tree Ribbons

  • Stapling ribbons correctly and to size
  • Wiring ribbons through the back
  • Counting and boxing ribbons for accuracy

Assembling Medical Play Kits

  • Moving and unpacking boxes from warehouse to back room
  • Assembling multiple items in the proper place within the kit
  • Working with others in an assembly line system

Restocking Materials

  • Moving and unpacking boxes from warehouse to back room
  • Breaking down cardboard and moving to recycling bins
  • Organizing the layout of the warehouse for efficiency
  • Maintaining a neat working space while restocking

EOY Inventory

  • Calculating simple counts of sealed boxes based on quantities listed
  • Counting individual books, resources, etc. in open boxes
  • Estimating bead quantities using a scale system  
  • Organizing the layout of the warehouse for efficiency
