Description

Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center (APALRC) | Citizenship Application Workshop (December 2nd)

Citizen Application Workshop: APALRC and Asian Americans Advancing Justice | AAJC will host a Citizenship Application Workshop on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the Rockville Memorial Library (21 Maryland Avenue, Rockville, MD) from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. This workshop is in partnership with the Montgomery County Office of Community Partnerships and the Montgomery County Asian Pacific American Advisory Group.

Volunteers will assist with registration, filling out naturalization applications, interpretation/translation, and attend to other client needs throughout the day. Volunteers are asked to commit from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm for last minute training and wrap-up. Previous immigration experience is not required, but new volunteers must view a naturalization training webinar to familiarize themselves with the naturalization application.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Linda Vuong at Linda.Vuong@apalrc.org or (202) 706-7135.  Citizenship workshops are held on a monthly basis throughout Maryland, DC and Virginia for those who want to volunteer but cannot attend the December workshop.
