Do you like to sew, knit, or crochet? Work on community projects with a congenial group? Volunteers are invited to help make afghans and quilts as gifts for hospitalized children (yarn and fabric provided). Monthly meetings are on the grounds of the Montgomery County Agricultural History Farm Park, in the University of Maryland Extension Office, 18410 Muncaster Road, Derwood, MD 20855.
Each meeting starts at 10:00am. Volunteers drop in between then and either 3:00pm or 9:00pm (each meeting is different).
This project is sponsored by the Montgomery County Association for Family & Community Education.
For more information and directions, please contact Jean at 301-641-4878 or jcpurich@cs.com. It is helpful if you already know how to sew, knit, or crochet. If you don't, that's all right too.
