Friends of Cabin John Creek is celebrating Earth Day (4/22) during the whole month of April with our Annual Cabin John Creek Cleanup Campaign! A Creek Cleanup is a wonderful way to show Mother Nature some love, while exploring a new segment of the creek, or giving a boost to an old favorite. When it rains, litter—mostly plastic bags and bottles—from the street gutters in surrounding neighborhoods washes into stormdrains and then into the nearest creek.
Help us do our part for a trash-free Potomac River by cleaning up Cabin John Creek.
To find out more about why litter is a concern for the Cabin John Creek ecosystem, go to the FoCJC Creek Cleanup page.
You can also check out our other Creek Cleanups on April 7, 14, and 15. You are invited to join any or all of them!
