What is PARK(ing) Day?
PARK(ing) Day is an annual, global event that encourages the temporary transformation of parking spaces into enjoyable, parklike spots. MCDOT’s PARK(ing) Day celebration in Silver Spring and Bethesda encourages people to rethink the urban landscape, their transportation choices and how infrastructure can be more transit-oriented, bikeable and walkable.
Who Can Participate in PARK(ing) Day?
Anyone - residents, groups, businesses or organizations. Recruit family, friends and co-workers to use their talents and artistic ability to create a memorable spot that engages passersby and encourages them to join the fun.
How Can You Help?
We need a volunteer to capture the event through videos and photos. We need someone to put together the videos and photos into one big video (using iMovie or something similar) for advertisement next year.
