The Kentlands/Lakelands 5k is held every year in the Kentlands and Lakelands neighborhoods. Money raised from this race is donated to the City of Gaithersburg's Dolores C. Swoyer Summer Camp, The Dwelling Place, Maryland Senior Olymplics and Mercy Health Clinic. In addition, the race supports the Kentlands Community Foundation. The race is in need of volunteers to be course marshals on the day of the race and also individuals to help with same day registration and race day logistics. Course marshals must be over 18 years of age.
