Volunteers needed for a one-time project associated with MCDOT’s FLASH bus rapid transit (BRT) project: participate in the County’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in downtown Silver Spring. Date = Saturday, November 17, 2018; time = 800 AM to 1200 PM/Noon; report location = Veterans Place & Pershing Drive, Silver Spring. Volunteers needed to walk with a large orange balloon along the parade route, assist with holding on the balloon, wear bright orange jackets provided by MCDOT, and pass out palm cards or flyers along the parade route to viewing audience. Volunteers will need to arrive at 8 AM to assist filling the balloon with helium, wait in line before the parade begins, and walk in the parade. Student Learning Service Credit forms can be signed by MCDOT staff if participating students provide form.
