A Wider Circle needs help to furnish 40 brand new apartments for veterans moving out of homelessness and into their new apartments.
We are looking for volunteers to join us on Saturday, November 3, to help us move furniture that is being donated from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. We will pick it up there and bring it to our center in Silver Spring so we can be ready to furnish these homes in time for Veterans Day.
Volunteers will be stationed either at Walter Reed or at A Wider Circle. There will be a morning shift from 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. and an afternoon shift from 12:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
This is a great volunteer opportunity for individuals who are able to lift furniture items. There will be a security form that volunteers will need to fill out by Sunday, October 28th, so please RSVP to volunteer@awidercircle.org as soon as possible.
