Come join the squad as we return to volunteer with our comrades at Oasis Farm. Folks of all abilities & ages are welcome to join in at this amazing & inclusive suburban farming project. You will get to see what renewable energy & organic practices look like in action!
We will be sheet-mulching, which is a highly-effective & chemical-free method of weed maintenance. Using layers of burlap and mulch to block out the sunlight over weeded areas we are able to keep the weeds at bay without the use of unnecessary and harmful chemicals.
For those able and willing, there are tasks that involve medium-heavy lifting/object moving. However, no one is in any way obligated to go beyond their comfort levels or participate in any tasks that don’t feel good for them.
