WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
On Monday, January 20th, Montgomery County will celebrate the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service. We will join with thousands of Americans across the country who will celebrate the national holiday honoring the life and work of Dr. King by doing service in their communities.
One of Montgomery County's NEW service events will take place at Journey's Crossing in Germantown. Journey's Crossing is partnering with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Xi Sigma Omega Chapter to host the event that will include service projects from 1PM-3PM. Service projects include family-friendly activities such as decorating cards, packaging food, constructing small projects, and assembling kits for people in need.
Sign up in advance is required. Click on the "Respond" button on this page to sign up. If you are signing up for yourself and additional people (school group, family, etc.), please click the "Respond as Group" registration option.
Once you sign up, you are confirmed as a volunteer. No further action is needed.
Registered volunteers will receive reminder emails in the weeks leading up to the event with details on parking and more.
