MUM distributes food to families experiencing food insecurity 3 Sundays a month at different locations in the mid-county area.
Job Description:
- Volunteers will assist in unloading food truck
- Volunteers will assist with set up of the Mobile Food Pantry tables and products
- Volunteers will assist clients with selecting food
- Volunteers will sort food donations as needed.
- Volunteers will assist with distributing food to clients.
- Volunteers will assist in reloading truck at end of shift.
- Volunteers who speak other languages may be asked to help with client intake and translation.
Volunteer Hours:
Shifts are Sundays, 12:30 to 2:30pm and/or 2:30 to 4:30 pm

Volunteers should bring masks, water, snacks and weather appropriate clothing (the food pantry is held regardless of the weather). Some sites do not have access to bathrooms nearby.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian. Students 14 and under should be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
