Everyone’s favorite MLK Day of Service project is BACK! But this time, you’re able to do them in the comfort of your own home.
PROJECT DIRECTIONS
- Respond to this opportunity;
- Complete this shipping information form - please complete one form per address;
- The fleece blanket kit (containing material for 2 blankets) will be shipped to you. Follow the instructions on the kit to complete the blankets;
- Drop off your completed blankets to the Montgomery County Volunteer Center (12900 Middlebrook Road, Suite 1600, Germantown, MD 20874) between January 18 - January 30 from 9 AM – 8 PM. This is a contactless drop-off system - please follow signage onsite for drop-off instructions.
SSL: MCPS students will receive 2 SSL hours for completing and returning 2 blankets.
When you drop off your project, all volunteers will be required to fill out a sheet with your name, email address, and a checkbox to indicate if you are requesting SSL hours. If you are requesting SSL hours, a signed form with your hours will be emailed to the email address listed on the drop-off sheet.

These blankets will be donated to those in need across Montgomery County, including patients at Montgomery Hospice.
