Martin Luther King Jr. Week of Service MCMF Service Project '21
MCMF will be distributing baked goods to multiple area homeless shelters on January 18th.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
*Covid-19 Alert: if you or your family is sick, please refrain from participating in this project*
- Make or buy around 50 cookies, brownies, or any other baked good (choose one type or a variety but no creams/icings)

- Try to stay away from nuts to avoid allergy concerns
- Please bring the baked goods in a covered basket/platter
- Write a note including your name, grade, school, email, phone, and how many home made items you are dropping off to receive an SSL form for MLK Jr. Week of Service (SSL form will be emailed to you - be sure not to give us your MCPS email address or we can't reach you)
- Please email pictures of your project to be featured in the upcoming MCMF Youth Newsletter and ask any questions of amina.m.rashid2005@gmail.com/ 301538-7765.
SSL Information:
- SSL hours are only available for home made items. If you purchase items we can provide a tax receipt, but SSL hours don't apply.
- 50 cookies or other baked goods packaged for presentation on covered platter or basket = 4 SSL hours.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety and privacy at any time the student is interacting with the nonprofit and its clients. The nonprofit organization will determine the number of SSL hours awarded based on the evidence submitted. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns. This service activity is designed to be completed within the safety of the student’s home until schools resume normal status.
