The Volunteer Center is working with Montgomery County's Health Department and a broad network of community organizations to ensure all in our community receive facts about the safety and importance of receiving the COVID-19 vaccination, information about how to pre-register for a County vaccine appointment, and assistance with the process for those who need help.
Vaccine Connector volunteers will focus on getting community members on the pre-registration list for the Montgomery County Health Department Clinics so that, when they are eligible based on priority groups, they will be contacted to schedule the vaccine.
Some of the work will be virtual, conducting phone calls to help pre-register individuals, share information, and answer questions. Many opportunities exist for those willing to be attend events in person such as staffing an information table at food distribution sites, and helping those in line to complete the pre-registration. Multilingual volunteers are critical in our efforts to serve the entire community, so language skills are a plus!
