YAMS is recruiting volunteers to perform at senior centers around Rockville, Potomac, Silver Spring, Northern Virginia, and beyond. For eight years, we have persistently kept this program going, bringing joy to senior homes while also nurturing many student leaders along the way. If you’re interested in sharing your music with seniors, this is a wonderful opportunity to bring them joy while also building your own performance skills. A 1–3 hour SSL certificate will be issued for each performance during this special period. Performers will also have the chance to receive a YAMS customized sticker, pin, and t-shirt.

Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
