Background:
Covid has disproportionately affected certain communities within Montgomery County. At the same time, these areas where Covid rates are the highest are where vaccination rates are the lowest. Barriers include accessibility, technology, hesitancy, limited English proficiency, isolation, and disinformation or conflicting messaging. That's why in-person outreach in underserved communities is still needed to inform residents and assist them with getting the vaccine. We need to get the ENTIRE County vaccinated!
To Volunteer Note: We currently are not recruiting new Community Ambassadors.
1) If you have not yet attended one required Zoom Information Session, please sign up by going to our Vaccine volunteers web page under "Resources for Community Ambassador Volunteers".
2) After you attend the Information Session, update the "Qualifications" section of your Volunteer Center account. Instructions are here. NOTE: This system will not allow you to register for any outreach event without completing steps 1) and 2).
To Sign-Up to Staff This Event (for those who have completed the above steps):
Click on the blue "Respond" button in the upper-right hand area. If the "Respond" button is not there, that means that all slots for this event have been filled. Expect an auto-generated email reply to confirm your participation. You will receive an email with details two days before the event.
