Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) is hosting the 2021 Back to School Jam on Saturday, August 21, 2021, from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM, at Westfield Wheaton Mall (11160 Veirs Mill Rd, Wheaton, MD 20902).
MCPS is looking for student and community volunteers to support this program by helping to set up tables, escort vendors to their tables, support the resource fair, and breakdown the event.
Two shifts are available as follows:

Opening Shift: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM (4 SSL Hours: set up, escort vendors, support resource fair)

Closing Shift: 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM (4 SSL Hours: support resource fair, breakdown and clean up event)

***Attendance at a virtual Back to School Jam Orientation is also required. This orientation will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, OR Thursday, August 19, 2021, from 6:30-7:30 PM. Student volunteers will also earn 1 SSL hour for this preparation event.
Student and community volunteers must be 14 years or older and are responsible for their own transportation. Volunteers and attendees of the Back-To-School Jam must wear a mask. Masks in public indoor spaces are required by local government beginning 08/07/2021. Masks and hand sanitizer will be available onsite.
