WCCC is hosting a Mystery Mansion and Bonfire Bash to form a community event for local families. One haunted house scene is staged in an Enchanted Forest, using mysterious dancers who descend on the haunted house goers with lanterns, chants, and ghost like appearance. This activity requires a commitment to help create, refine and ultimately perform on at least three of the seven nights of the Mystery Mansion over the last two weeks of October. Costumes will be provided, and creative input is encouraged! Dance skills are not critical - this is more about attitude and atmosphere. This is a fun activity to do with friends, or join in and perform with the group if you have always wanted to be an almost-ghost. This is your chance to be part of a unique and fun Halloween experience!
Come to the kick off meeting on September 12. Future coordination and planning will be adjusted to suit the availablility of the group. And, if you have experience organizing group performances, you can potentially take on a leadership role with supervision from our creative team!
All activities will comply with current CDC, Montgomery County and MCPS requirements to respond to the spread of COVID-19. Events will be held outdoors when possible. Indoor events will take place in our auditorium or large meeting room, with social distancing possible and ample air circulation at all times. When indoors, masks will be required for unvaccinated volunteers and members. Vaccinated individuals will wear masks in compliance with current MoCo mandates. Do not attend an activity if you have any signs of illness or any confirmed recent exposure to COVID-19. Hand washing and hand sanitizer will be readily available. Frequent wipe down of highly utilized areas will be observed in all areas where volunteers are present.
