NOTE: If you signed up for Sunday, September 19 but prefer to attend Saturday September 18, that is OK! Two optional times are available for orientation, followed by additional hours to refine and perform.
We are looking for a few scary people to move quietly, scare efficiently, and then drift into darkness. If you can be that ghost you’ve always wanted to be, join us now to populate the dark corners of our Mystery Mansion! Male, female, large, small, all are welcome. Costumes provided, experience not required. Preference given to those who can commit to appearing (and disappearing) during at least three of our seven performances, October 21 through October 31. Attend the preparation meeting and see who you can scare!
As a ghost, you will be visible to our haunted house guests. You will be in a costume and potentially makeup to represent a specific character. As a ghost, you will need to comply with some basic conduct rules. The guests are mostly younger children, so no touching or grabbing, and scary is good, too scary might make them want to leave! Be willing to accept some coaching and you will be the perfect ghost.
All activities will comply with current CDC, Montgomery County and MCPS requirements to respond to the spread of COVID-19. Indoor events will take place in our auditorium or large meeting room, with social distancing possible and ample air circulation at all times. Masks will be required for volunteers and members. Do not attend an activity if you have any signs of illness or any confirmed recent exposure to COVID-19. Hand washing and hand sanitizer will be readily available.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours.
