As a volunteer at Summer at Sandy Spring, you will be part of an amazing team that strives to make a difference in children's lives. You will engage with campers, while gaining skills in organization, decision making, problem solving, and leadership through the guidance of head counselors. Volunteers will accompany campers to workshops, assist in those workshops (such as painting, archery, and various sporting activities), and participate in group games, arts and crafts activities, and swimming. Volunteers will become familiar with the expectations and routines of the camp day and observe the skills that are needed to become a full time counselor.
