The parade is Sunday, May 1, 2022. Two months before the parade, meet with the Parade Coordinator to understand traffic flow so signage makes sense. Confirm we have all the signs/posts needed or need to be ordered
7 days before the parade, put up signs announcing road closures on Prince Philip.
On Sunday, May 1, 2022 at 11 AM place 14 signs on Prince Philip and Old Baltimore Road for parade participants. At Noon help Parade Volunteers to stand up the barricades at Prince Philip and Georgia Ave and at Prince Philip and Buehler Rd.
After the parade participants have all left Prince Philip, approximately 2:30, pick up Prince Philip and Old Baltimore Rd signs. After the parade has ended on Spartan Rd, pick up the remaining signs. Return all signs to the Olney Days Coordinator for storage. Make note of any damaged or missing signs for the Parade Coordinator.
Olney Days is three days of family-friendly events to celebrate Olney and foster community relationships. The parade is one of the events.
