14th Annual HBCU College Fair 
February 18, 2022 (6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.)

MCPS is hosting the 14th Annual Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCU) College Fair with a variety of virtual workshops on Friday, February 18, 2022, from 6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

MCPS students in grades 8-12 may earn SSL hours for attending and participating in follow-up advocacy action.  

Students, please DO NOT respond to this opportunity. All MCPS students in grades 8-12 may participate and earn SSL hours by following the directions below: 

• Students must register for this event to receive the full schedule of workshops: https://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/departments/familysupport/hbcu/  

• Only students who register and participate in the live virtual workshop sessions will have the opportunity to complete the follow-up advocacy action through a Google Form to earn 3 SSL hours (students must attend and participate in at least 2 virtual workshop sessions)

• After the event, students must submit thoughtful responses to the SSL Google form provided at the conclusion of the event. To be eligible for SSL hours, all responses must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2022.

• MCPS students must be logged into their MCPS student accounts to access the Google Form. 

• Please complete this form ONLY ONCE and make sure your responses reflect thoughtful insight into the material presented and accurate and thorough coverage of the content.

• Students do not need to submit a separate MCPS SSL Activity Verification Form for this specific opportunity.

• The MCPS SSL team in central office will review student responses and enter SSL hours into student records by March 11, 2022.
