2022 National Night Out
Tuesday, August 2
On August 2, Olney will join forces with thousands of communities nationwide to celebrate National Night Out, a crime prevention event sponsored nationally by the National Association of Town Watch, and locally by the Olney Chamber of Commerce.
The Chamber has been promoting the partnership of our local police and fire personnel with the community by hosting the event since 1994. Residents gather to learn from first responders how to better protect their homes and families. They enjoy an evening of fun activities, music, and food trucks, while learning about local businesses and helping the Chamber raise funds that benefit the Olney Police Satellite Station, Officer Noah Leotta “Act Responsibly Scholarship”, Maryland-National Capital Park Police, and Sandy Spring Volunteer Fire Department.
We need your help! We need help setting up and tearing down the event and are glad to offer SSL hours for your assistance! Set-up/Tear-down will include moving tables/chairs for vendors, set-up/take down of tents, marking spaces, setting up Raffle items and displays, cleaning up during the event, directing patrons, etc...
Please sign up for a shift or as many shifts as you'd like to gain hours.
