Summer is winding down, and Red Wiggler Community Farm needs your help! We have lots of winter squash and sweet potatoes that need to be harvested. These jobs require a lot of hands, so this is a good opportunity for a group or individuals to help out.
Red Wiggler is a 501(c)3 certified organic farm that employs individuals with developmental disabilities to provide nourishing food for the community. Our vision is to create fertile ground to nourish a healthy and inclusive community. We're looking for volunteers to assist our regular Grower staff with some big fall projects, particularly this coming Wednesday 9/21 in the morning. The date and time are flexible if we need to accommodate a group!
COVID information: Red Wiggler does not require mask wearing outdoors at the moment but we are still limiting our indoor time and maintaining social distancing. Our COVID response is constantly evolving, so check in with us directly if you have concerns or questions.
Interested? Email Becca, Volunteer & Grower Coordinator, at becca@redwiggler.org or call the farm at (301) 916-2216.
