Meet with older adult residents of Charles E. Smith Life Communities Ring House to help them with their SmartPhones, tablets, and laptops. The residents are learning how to use a new app to access their menus and activity calendar. As a volunteer, you will help explain to individuals how to download the app, login, and navigate through the app functions. Good communication skills and patience with explaining how to use technology are needed for this volunteer activity. Masks must be worn by volunteers.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
