Give back to the community on the MLK Day of Service at The Soulfull Cafe at Main Street! Volunteer opportunities include:
– Writing cards to patients at Children’s National Medical Center
– Making dog toys for Lucky Dog Animal Rescue
Come anytime between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm!
Please note:
- All ages are welcome. Parental supervision is required for children.
- Students may receive Student Service Learning (SSL) hours, and should bring the SSL form with them.
- Metered parking is available on the street and parking is available in a public garage at 51 Monroe Place (directly across the street from The Soulfull Cafe).
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
