Montgomery College’s 2023 Annual Holocaust Commemoration

Students, families, and staff are invited to Montgomery College’s virtual 2023 Annual Holocaust Commemoration, Tuesday, February 28, 2023 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.

Middle and high school students will receive 2 SSL hours for attending the event and completing a follow-up advocacy component via a Google Form.

The commemoration will honor the victims and survivors of the Holocaust, and includes a candle-lighting ceremony by Holocaust survivors, poetry readings by Potomac Review interns, and witness testimony by Holocaust survivor Mr. Peter Feigl. MC Choral students, under the direction of Dr. Molly Donnelly, will perform a selection from Robert Convery’s “Songs of Children”, a cantata “in memory of all children who perished in the Holocaust.”
