The Islamic Community Center of Potomac will host an eWaste drop-off event on Saturday April 8, 2023 from 9:00am to 12:00pm. This annual event is open to all community members and accepts drop-off of old or broken consumer electronics.
We need one to two SSL volunteers per hour to direct folks to the drop off spot, and to sort items. The county will have someone on site to direct collection and ICCP SSL supervisors will supervise. Gloves will be provided.

When: Saturday April 8, 9am-noon (1-hour shifts for SSL)
Benefits of electronics recycling include:
• Reduce the amount of toxics entering the waste stream (lead, mercury and arsenic)
• Save landfill space
• Conserve natural resources.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
