Description: On Saturday, October 14th from 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM, we will be participating in a tabling event sponsored by the town of Berwyn Heights in awareness of their "Multicultural Day". We will be tabling at this event as an invitee to share information with the community about the services and support we provide organizationally. We are looking to have 4 volunteers, broken up into two shifts, to join us at our table to help speak about our services to individuals stopping by.
Responsible to: Our Volunteer Coordinator, Connor Paul, as well as our MD office case manager Ivonne Diaz.
# of Volunteers Requesting: We are looking for at least 4 volunteers to join us and assist at our event, 2 for the first shift (11:00 AM - 1:30 PM) and 2 for the second shift (1:30 PM - 4:00 PM). The specific shift requirements and capacity still available is noted in the sign ups below.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with table setup before the start of the event
- Serving as an Ayuda representative at our Multicultural Day tabling event
- Connecting with passerby's to speak about the services we provide as an organization
- Managing the table including setting out additional materials and keeping a tidy/visually appealing space
Qualifications:
- Volunteers joining will need to be personable, outgoing, and engaging with strong public speaking skills and an ability to connect with individuals from any background.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
