We Need Help From MCPS Students to End the School to Prison Pipeline!
Join This Community Conversation
We are reaching out to invite you to participate in one of our town halls examining the most recent report from the Office of Legislative Oversight examining the school to prison pipeline in MCPS.
Students are the greatest driver to change. We want to hear your experiences and co-create solutions with students and families that are most affected to permanently ending disparities in schools.
The second and upcoming town hall will be at White Oak Middle School on Saturday, November 18th, 1pm-3pm. Lunch will be served.
How to earn community service hours (SSL):
Students can earn one SSL hour for participation in each discussion, with an additional hour given if the student provides reflection after the activity.
The SSL form and instructions for submission will be sent to your email address.
Privacy:
Please, do not share any pictures or likeness of the students as well as personal information such as home address, email or phone number etc. in your paper. Also, please do not include any real-life pictures or images of yourself. We ask that students include their first name, grade and school only on each submission.
