MCPS Fall Sustainability Forum

Did you know trash powers your house? The Division of Sustainability and Compliance is hosting a Fall Symposium will host representatives from Covanta to present on how the trash that is collected from Montgomery County is transported by rail to a waste to energy plant within the county and the process that takes place to generate energy.

Thursday, December 7, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. on Zoom!

(This is a 1.5 SSL hour opportunity.)

This virtual event is open to all MCPS secondary school students and staff.

MCPS Students, please DO NOT respond to this opportunity. All MCPS students may participate and earn SSL hours by following the directions below:

2. Please submit any questions you would like for us to share with the panelists. 

All registered attendees will receive the link to the Zoom webinar the day of the program. If time allows, we may accept questions live using the Q&A feature.

Students will earn 1.5 SSL hours for their active participation, engagement, and reflection. An SSL Google form will be provided to those who attend the entire program and complete a reflection that includes information from the program. The SSL form will be distributed at the END of the meeting.
