A Wider Circle’s Essential Support Program provides home furnishings, professional clothing, baby items, and baby clothing— to anyone in need, free of charge. As a volunteer, the work that you will be doing will benefit hundreds of people each year.
The Baby Clothing Section Assistant maintains a high-quality inventory of baby clothing and accessories to be used to restock our showroom to distribute to our clients. This is done by sorting through incoming baby clothes donations and ensuring they are in dignity condition. Dignity condition means free of rips, stains, or a bad scent. All baby clothing that is in dignity condition, and meets the standards of the section, will be folded and placed on the appropriate bin in the baby clothing section and it will be used to restock the baby clothing section in our showroom.
Here is a brief list of some of the baby clothing items that we sort through regularly: baby clothes, bibs, shoes, blankets, crib sheets, crib mattress protectors, etc.
This opportunity is available for individuals who are the age of 18 and over and commit to one day every week Monday- Friday (more welcome if desired!). Shift hours are either 9:00 am – 12:00 pm or 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm. This is an in-person volunteer position.
