Lucky Dog Animal Rescue has an adoption event on Sunday 9/7 at the Alexandria PetSmart - 3351 Richmond Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22305.
Come spend the afternoon with a Lucky Dog! We need dog handlers to hold a dog's leash during our adoption event and talk up the dog to potential adopters during the event. We also need drivers to drive Lucky Dogs to and from our adoption event. Handler check-in is at 11:15 am (dog check-in starts at 11:45 am). You should plan to stay until 3:30 pm.
When we receive your inquiry about volunteering, we'll send you a confirmation email and then closer to the event date we'll send some additional information specific to volunteering at that event. Event is held outside, so please dress appropriately.
*Must be at least 12 years old to volunteer and anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent present at all times (the parent must be the one physically holding the dog's leash).
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
