Description

SHC Storytimes

This is a fun and rewarding opportunity for high school students who are interested in meaningful cross-cultural engagement. SHC has partnered with local high school groups to install and maintain Little Free Libraries at apartment communities in Riverdale and Hyattsville/Landover where many newcomer families live.

One the second Saturday of the month, SHC hosts a storytime for children in preschool and elementary school. High school volunteers will help the children pick out age-appropriate books from the Little Free Library to read together and then take home. SHC staff are onsite to provide support and interpretation when needed.

When: Saturday May 11, 11:30am-1:30pm

Where: An apartment community in Riverdale, MD (address and location specifics provided to participants once registered)
