The Clarksburg Yard has adopted Gateway Center Drive! This is a 1-mile stretch that runs from Shawnee Lane to Clarksburg Road and is parallel to Frederick Road behind our property.
Every other other month, we will be organizing a group of Middle and High School Students to clean up trash along the road. Our mission is to "participate in a community activity by keeping county-owned roadsides litter free".
What will I be doing?
You will meet at 1pm at the Clarksburg Church and walk over to the designated area. (It is a 10 minute walk). You will be equipped with gloves, hefty trash bags, and pick-up tools. We will collect litter from the designated area and properly dispose of it.
This opportunity is held outdoors and near the roads. We are asking all volunteers to read and sign the consent form prior to the event. *Minors will NOT be able to participate without completed consent form.*

NOTE: You will be working outside, so please bring water bottles. Additionally, we are asking all volunteers to wear bright colored clothing and comfortable, closed-toed shoes.

Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
