Montgomery College's Permaculture Club & the Community Food Forest Collective is hosting two more work days at the Montgomery College Food Forest to prepare the site for planting. We'll cover the rest of the site in leaf mulch and wood chips and we'd love your help!
WHERE: Montgomery College Takoma/Silver Spring Campus at the corner of Philadelphia and Chicago Ave
WHEN: April 6 & 7 from 10am to 1pm (on both days).
What to expect:
* Tour of the site
* Master Gardeners and Permaculture Club students on hand to explain the plan and offer guidance on soil prep.
* Spread mulch and wood chips
* Meet your neighbors and others
SSL HOURS AVAILABLE BUT **PARENT'S PRESENCE AND SUPERVISION IS MANDATORY THE ENTIRE EVENT FOR CHILDREN YOUNGER THAN 18**
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
