On Saturday April 20th, 2024 the University Of Maryland’s head football coach Mike Locksley will host the “Terps Takeover The Southside” football open scrimmage at Ballou HS In Southeast Washington DC.. The event is dear to “Coach Lock’s” heart because It gives him the opportunity to highlight the 2024 Terps football team at his old alma mater. We’re seeking (3) photographers to use their skills and equipment to cover the event by taking both still shots and video footage of players, coaches, cheerleaders, fans and most importantly the action on the field. We also need footage of fans' reactions about their experience of the historic event.
At least (2) of the assigned photographers are needed to cover the post scrimmage press conference. During this segment you are required to get footage and ask questions to both players and coaches. Once you arrive at the stadium, your name will be on the list under our organization SAFEO. There you will pick up your press credentials from the University of Maryland’s Assistant Athletics Director, Football Communications Dustin Semonavick. Lastly, upon completion of your task, please email the content to safeoinc@gmail.com and submit them using Google Drive. Use the hashtag #TerpsTakeOver in the subject line. For any questions. Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours.
