Join us at Kensington Day of the Book Festival as we connect with the community and make "book cover" art with all ages.
Wheaton Arts Parade provides all supplies. We need you to help engage with community members, lead them in basic drawing craft activity. You will help set up and monitor supplies, make sure visitors get a place to make and are happy, hand out marketing materials and share your love of ART!
Please dress comfortably for an outdoor family-friendly festival - wear comfortable sneakers (no flip-flops)
We will have 2 sessions - or you can stay for both and get a total of 8 SSL hours (breaks for food and water are included)
Please provide your own snacks and bring a water bottle. You can also bring $ with you to buy food at local food trucks that will be at the festival.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
