We are hosting a Juneteenth celebration.
Here are Logistics:
1) Before & After Event:
- Preparation: Volunteers can help set up and tear down event spaces, arrange tables and chairs, and ensure that the event runs smoothly.
- Cleanup: After the celebration, volunteers can help with cleanup efforts to ensure the venue is in good condition.
2) Assistance During the Event:
- Volunteers can serve as greeters, provide information to attendees, manage lines, assist with parking, and help ensure that guests are comfortable and enjoying themselves.
- We are making buttons and jewelry for Maple Community Association to sell for donations. Discover the significance of jewelry making.
3) Security and Safety:
- Depending on the size and nature of the event, volunteers may also assist with security and ensuring the safety of attendees.
4) Documenting the Event:
- Volunteers with photography or videography skills can help document the celebration for future reference or promotional purposes.
Our mission at Maple Community Association is to promote family sustainability, health, and wellness through community resources and mentorship programming to support the underserved youth and elderly populations within our community. Our focus for this event is to bridge the gap between the youth and elderly within our community.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
