Kick off the official start to summer with an ultimate day of volunteer activities across the National Capital Area! On June 21, United Way of the National Capital Area is hosting volunteers for Day of Action – a global event that mobilizes the caring power of volunteers to create positive change in our own backyard. Day of Action invites volunteers of all ages to rally together around important issues.
This year, we’ll be serving with six of our community partners who work hard on a daily basis to support the area’s ALICE (Asset-Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) individuals and families. With in-person projects across the region (and even a couple of virtual projects) – there is something for everyone!
We hope you and your network will come out and join us in meaningful and truly impactful projects supporting your neighbors. Click here to view all of the projects - volunteer registration is required.
